Here are my positive and negative business cards for the logo assignment. I love the way these came out and think they are very aesthetically pleasing.
For this assignment we had to create a visual of what you perceive yourself as from outside your body. I decided to split myself down the middle as a half angel have devil. I am told by not only my family but sometimes friends how much I resembled my zodiac sign, Gemini. This means I have the split personality of a devil and an angel. I had a lot of fun being able to use all the skills we learned for this assignment. It was nice being able to take free range with it and it was nice to focus on this for awhile, tweaking every little detail. For the devil portion I used the techniques from B&W to color assignment to change my eye, lips and jacket to enhance the dark vision. I tweaked the colors and outer glow/drop shadow on each side to match the emotion. I think this piece directly resembles myself from the outside in what I see in myself depending on my mood. I really enjoyed the GIF aspect and changing the amount of colors and dithering because it totally changed the look of the...
Well after the longest week of my life this is finally over. A lot of tears and neck pain from drawing on the iPad pro my final is here. Attached is the movie version as well as the youtube version incase it doesn't look as good on here! This process was one that made me appreciate animation :) Enjoy!
For this assignment we had to make a poster of ourselves with a message. I took a photo with great contrast, me in a white shirt against a black backdrop. My face was serious and more poker like, therefore I wanted a more serious message. I chose a monochrome color scheme of reds to fill me in to enhance my message of "Don't let your mind take over your body". I really enjoyed this assignment as I did a similar one in high school with pop art inspired by Andy Warhol. This one was more fun to make everything precise with the words and font style. At the bottom of my poster you will find my monochrome color scheme I used.
